Congressional Statement:

"Military service during a time of war is the highest sacrifice a citizen may make for his or her country".

The strength of this statement is lengthed to the "Veterans' Oral History Project Act" enactment of 27 October 2000.

VetsBackToWarZone will collect refreshed histories and testimonials by returning veterans BACK TO THEIR VARIOUS WAR ZONES. Veterans whom have returned to their war zones has heart and mind changing accounts of their present day views of the war zone in which they had once struggled. These testimonials and stories may well have lasting effects on their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD PROBLEMS). Major therapeutic benefits are accredited these return trips.
(see veterans testimonials i.e. USMC Rev. Bob and Mrs. Smith)

Trips are set for 5 to 7 days. Will travel in a minimum group of ten. Number of trips per month/year will be limited by available funding and tour turn around capability.

These tours will be at the expense of  VBTWZ.

Nations heal after their wars and move forward in peace and prosperity. However, some of our veterans never heal, instead live on with their embedded memories of past wars and conflicts.

War Veterans possess invaluable resources in their memories of the wars and conflicts in which they served. Congress has recognized the immeasurable value in collecting and cataloging oral histories and testimonials of American war veterans so that present day and future Americans will know and appreciate their contribution to our Country's struggle for Freedom and prosperity and that future generations will have an original sources of information regarding the lives and times of those who served in wars and conditions under which they endured the tediousness and horrors of war. They will also know first-hand of the heroics and the triumphs and victories of war. Otherwise, their stories and testimonials are locked in family circles unknown to the Country whom struggle they had played an integrate role in overcoming the horrors and tragedies intended for their homeland and the America Way of Life.

   VBTWZ PURPOSES ARE TWO FOLD:
     1.   Obtaining veterans personal wartime history/testimonials

(a)   Extracted through personal interviews

(b)   Obtaining photographs, letters and recording of medals won etc

      2.   Providing assistant in restoring veterans proud and redirection.

(a)   Returning veterans to the war zones

(b)   Obtaining their assessment of their present day war zones upon return.

(c)   Follow-up on redirecting their life style

(d)   Encouraging veterans to recruit similar veterans for interview and trip.

Restoring veterans proud may simply be witnessing progress made in their war zone and realizing they are in some way associated with whatever had taken place.

Being associated with progress often creates a sense of accomplishment that may very well spark a desire to achieve autonomy.

“ It best to teach a man to fish rather than giving him a fish a day”

Most Important

There are also spiritual values, required in redirecting ones life. Once those values are properly set, drugs and alcohol have an attendance to disappear, thus opening  ways for productive decision-making and possible financial success.

Many of todays organization offer assistance to veterans by means of short term proivisions or temporary emergency housing during inclement weather and etc. However, if a veteran regains  independence or achieve autonomy he is then capable of survival and self-reliance.

VBTWZ ASPRIES TO RESTORING PROUD in veterans lives to the extent of being helpful in the lives of other rather than creating a burdensome situaution. This most definitily includes veterans of most recent Middle Eastern wars.

VBWTZ have far reaching possibilities that also require strong and capable leadership.

VBTWZ is open for volunteers
